Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
- The new CHOP Web site was designed to be flexible and was integrated into the content management system, OpenCms. I did the XHTML and CSS, design production, designed some elements of the site, added jQuery functionality, and helped plan the site.
- One of my goals was to keep presentation (CSS), structure (XHTML), and behavior (Javascript) separate from each other to make updating content easier. The developers have added a bit more javascript and code to my W3C validated templates. They will not pass the W3C validator.
- Web Accessibility is very important to me. People with disabilities should be able to access our content with ease. I pushed to get closed captioning and video transcripts for the site for visually and hearing-impaired individuals. The site was designed with Web Standards and tested in JAWS screen reader to accommodate visually impaired individuals.
